A look back: March 4, 1985

Francine McFadden, daughter of Gerald and Kathryn McFadden of 113 W. Broadway, Jim Thorpe, has been selected by Superstar Drill Team Camps, an operating division of the National Cheerleaders Association, Dallas, Texas, to perform in the annual St. Patrick‘s Day festivities in Dublin, Ireland.

She will become a member of the National Superstar Drill Team consisting of 65 dance drill team and pompon members who were selected from 18,000 students based on poise, projection, routine execution and personality.

Francine is a student at Jim Thorpe Area High School, where she is the senior captain of the OIympian Dance-Drill team.
