Lansford man facing DUI and other counts
Coaldale police cited Erick Mack, 35, of West Patterson Street, Lansford, after a traffic stop on Aug. 12.
An officer was on patrol at 2:35 a.m. when he saw a gray Chevrolet crossing the double yellow and white fog lines as it was being driven east on Route 209. The Chevrolet was stopped and the driver identified as Mack.
After noticing a strong smell of alcohol and several other signs of possible intoxication, the officer asked Mack to take standard field sobriety tests. He agreed, but failed those tests. A preliminary breath test was positive and Mack was taken to St. Luke's Miners Campus in Coaldale for blood work.
The blood test results show a 0.131 percent blood alcohol level.
Mack was cited for driving under the influence of alcohol, driving with a suspended license (DUI related), driving without a license and failure to drive in the proper lane.
