A Monroe County man is being charged with a homicide in Lancaster County.

Lancaster Police have charged Matthew VanZandt, 30, of Bartonsville, in the stabbing death of Ian Shannon of Manheim Township on Wednesday.

Early Wednesday evening, police said VanZandt came to the St. Luke’s Hospital for treatment of a hand injury. He was covered with blood. He told hospital personnel that he had stabbed his boyfriend. He had the knife in his backpack.
