Clearfield man killed in Monroe crash
A Clearfield County driver was killed in a two-vehicle crash that occurred along Interstate 80 in Tunkhannock Township, Monroe County, about 10:04 a.m. on Sunday.
State police at Fern Ridge said John W. Gillespie, 59, of Albrightsville, driving a 2014 Mack truck, and Robert L. Hoffman, 66, of DuBois, driving a 2018 Volvo truck, were westbound when the Volvo struck the rear of the Mack truck.
Hoffman was taken to the Lehigh Valley Hospital - Pocono Campus, East Stroudsburg, were he died from his injuries, troopers said. Gillespie was not injured.
