Tamaqua’s Breiner headed to Lycoming

Tamaqua’s Nick Breiner will continue his academic and football career at Lycoming College in the fall.

The four-year member of the Blue Raiders was a running back and linebacker.

Breiner set the school’s all-time rushing and touchdown records, earning the Times News Running Back of the Year award this past season. He also captured three different TN Player of the Week honors during his career.

The son of Darryl and Karen Breiner, Nick has also participated in baseball three years and track one season. He is a member of the school’s Ski Club, Physics Club and World Language Club, and has been an honors student at Tamaqua for four years.

Breiner plans to major in finance at Lycoming.
