A look back: March 16, 1971

The Penn Forest Township Volunteer Fire Company conducted its reorganizational meeting last night and re-elected John Wargo as its president.

Other officers retained are Secretary Robert Gehres and Treasurer Sterling McFarland, while new officers are Vice President James Smith Jr. and Financial Secretary Robert Dunlop.

Elected to membership on the board of directors are Luther Getz, Floyd Kuehner and Francis Leyer, three years; J. Edgar Smith, William Rehrig and Harl Helmer, two years; and Harry Heydt, James Kressler and Robert Schur, one year.

Nelson Clator, Edwin Kresge, William Klopp and Harold Snyder were accepted as new active members of the company.
