Man charged after Polk stabbing
An argument that happened just after midnight Sunday along Interchange Road in Polk Township escalated to a stabbing incident,
State police at Lehighton said Randy Green, 56, of Gilbert, was charged with assault with a deadly weapon and committed to the Monroe County Correctional Facility in Snydersville.
The victim is a 48-year-old man from Gilbert, who was transported by EMS personnel to the Lehigh Valley Hospital-Pocono, East Stroudsburg.
Policer said the accused and the victim got into an argument at the residence. Green retrieved a knife and struck the victim with the blade, causing a puncture wound below the shoulder area.
Green was taken into custody at the scene.
