Pleasant Valley Middle School principal on leave
Pleasant Valley’s middle school principal is out on leave again.
Superintendent David Piperato confirmed Wednesday that Principal Rocco Seiler is on leave for the remainder of the school year.
“Our current assistant principal, Mrs. (Josephine) Fields will run the building with additional support from other administrators,” Piperato said.
Seiler was on medical leave earlier in the school year and returned in December.
In November, the Monroe County grand jury returned a presentment which included claims of Seiler being granted immunity by the county in exchange for information regarding an incident that took place in a bar where Seiler was with former district employee Joshua Krebs.
Krebs is currently awaiting trial on charges he illegally placed a wireless video camera in a break room at Pleasant Valley Elementary School in 2016.
He is also facing perjury charges stemming from the incident as well as an incident in a Towamensing Township bar 10 years ago.
There is no evidence at this time that this leave is related to either of these issues.
