Schuylkill County personnel

During a meeting Wednesday, the Schuylkill County Commissioners approved the following personnel actions:

Children & Youth appointments: Anne Gonda, Pottsville; Hannah Maurer, Schuylkill Haven; and Devon Motel, McAdoo, to county caseworker 1. Each will be paid $17.79 per hour as per union contract.

In the Tax Assessment department, Kathleen Gillespie, Pottsville was transferred from office support/secretary to clerk typist 1. Gillespie will be paid $13.63 per hour as per union contract. Melissa Goodman, Frackville, was promoted from clerk typist 1 to field appraiser. She will be paid $13.71 per hour as per union contract.

In the prothonotary’s office, Prothonotary David Dutcavich, Minersville, is retiring effective March 29. First Deputy Albert Gricoski, Butler Township, was appointed to be acting prothonotary beginning April 1.

Brenda Hill, Schuylkill Township, was promoted from MDJ Assistant 1 to MDJ Assistant 2 in the court administration office, with an hourly salary of $24.99 as per union contract. Andrew Svrcek, West Brunswick, was appointed to Case Officer 1 in the Domestic Relations office, at a salary of $21.45 as per union contract.

In the District Attorney’s office, part-time Assistant DA Claude A. Lord Shields retired effective March 27. Shields was also reappointed as part-time DA, with a change in hours from 60 biweekly to 38 biweekly. His salary will be $32,398.
