Domestic assault lands man in jail
A domestic assault in Tamaqua on March 8 landed Jerry Feathers, 38, in prison.
Tamaqua police responded to the 100 block of Race Street at 12:22 p.m. and met with a woman, who said Feathers threw her down the steps, punched her in the face and damaged her left hand. She did have visible injuries to her temple area and hand.
Feathers was arraigned before District Magisterial Judge Stephen Bayer, of Tamaqua, on charges of simple assault and harassment. Bail was set at $10,000 straight, sending Feathers to the Schuylkill County prison in Pottsville.
