Gold bars valued at $7,800 are stolen

State police at the Lehighton barracks are investigating a theft in which $7,800 worth of gold bars were stolen from a Palmerton man.

The victimreported someone stole six one-ounce gold bars from him.

The incident happened between Aug. 26 and Sept. 16 ata Green Valley Drive, Towamensing Township, location.
