Cancer telethon welcomes survivors, former Courage Award honorees

As part of the 40th annual ACS Telethon airing Saturday and Sunday from Penn’s Peak outside Jim Thorpe, cancer survivors and former Courage Award honorees are being invited to participate.

Courage Award honorees are invited to stop by and encourage those watching to support the effort of the telethon.

A Salute to Survivors will again be a part of the Saturday telethon at 7:30 p.m. Host Joe Krushinsky asks cancer survivors to share their stories of hope and inspiration.

Former honorees and survivors should stop at the check-in desk when entering Penn’s Peak and be directed to a holding area.

The telethon will be seen on the following cables systems: Blue Ridge, Channel 13; Service Electric Schuylkill, 90; Service Electric Lehigh, 50; and Comcast, 15.
