Teen facing drug count

A Luzerne County teen is facing a drug count following an incident that occurred at 12:34 a.m. March 3 along Route 611 in Coolbaugh Township, Monroe County.

Pocono Mountain Regional police said a vehicle operated by Jacob C. Torok, 18, of Wilkes-Barre, almost collided with a police cruiser. Officers made a vehicle stop and identified Torok as the driver. Officers also detected the strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. A consent search was conducted and police found some marijuana, a pipe, two digital scales and some bags used to contain and store marijuana.

As a result Torok has been charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and careless driving.
