A White Haven woman has been named acting director of the Carbon County Area Agency on Aging. Stephanie Cawley, a senior caseworker in the office, will assume the position immediately at a salary of $29,018.
Her appointment came during this week’s meeting of the Carbon County Board of Commissioners, which made the appointment on the recommendation of Robert Achenbach of Paraclete & Associates, Pottsville.
The consulting firm was hired earlier this year to study the county’s human resources staff after majority commissioners Dean D.W. DeLong and Thomas C. Gerhard voted to fire Albert Petrole of Tresckow as the agency’s director.
