Northern Lehigh school board personnel

Northern Lehigh School Board, on a 7-0 vote with directors Mathias Green and Robert Keegan Jr. absent, approved the following personnel matters on Monday:

• The retirement of James Bauer, Slatington Elementary fourth-grade teacher, after 35½ years of service; Stephen Hluschak, middle school math teacher, after 37 years of service; and Karen Hluschak, middle school cook’s helper, after 17 years of service. All are effective June 14.

• The resignations of Joan Jones, high school cafeteria monitor, and Tiffany Jennings, middle school paraprofessional. Both are effective today.

• Sarah Fink, temporary vacancy replacement fourth-grade teacher at Peters Elementary School, replacing a teacher who is on a family medical leave of absence, at the salary of substitute teacher, effective April 1, with a termination date at the end of the 2018-19 school year; and Samantha Lilly as a temporary vacancy replacement special education teacher at the senior high school, replacing a teacher who is on a family medical leave of absence, at the salary of substitute teacher rate, effective April 1, with a termination date upon the return of full-time teacher.

• Rebecca Edwards, Slatington Elementary School cook’s helper, $12 an hour, four hours per day, five days per week, up to 180 student days per year plus additional cleaning days as needed, effective April 9.

• Kayla Mickols and Kyle Kreamer, computer technicians, each at $30,000 (prorated) for the 2018-19 school year, with Mickols effective on or about April 15, and Kreamer effective April 23.

• A $4,500 stipend for Stephen Haas, technology systems coordinator, for services performed at both computer technician and technology systems coordinator, for the time period of Nov. 1, 2018, through March 11.

• Jason Kisselbach, social studies substitute teacher, 2018-19 school year.

• Renewed the appointments of Kellie Bechtel and Patricia Bortz as substitute paraprofessionals and substitute custodians, 2018-19 school year.

• Patricia Bortz, Cheryl Moser and Stephanie Richards, substitute cafeteria workers, 2018-19 school year.

• Cheryl Moser, Stephanie Richards and Ashlee Storm, substitute paraprofessionals, 2018-19 school year.

• Cheryl Moser, substitute secretary, 2018-19 school year.
