Tamaqua Blue Raider dinner May 6

Tickets are available for the annual meeting of the Tamaqua Blue Raider Foundation, an independent nonprofit organization that provides financial support to special projects by Tamaqua School District teachers.

The event will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. May 6 at the Station Restaurant.

Tickets, which are $30 apiece, are available at the law offices of Jeffrey Bowe, 109 W. Broad St.; Beyrent Insurance Agency, 246 E. Broad St., or other board members.

The annual dinner spotlights some of the students and the projects funded by the Blue Raider Foundation. President Robert Miller will make the foundation’s annual report and plans for the coming year will be announced. Scholarship amounts will also be announced.
