PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Police say a stop in north Philadelphia of a car with a flat tire led to a confrontation and police shooting.

Police say they smelled marijuana and spotted a gun after pulling the vehicle over shortly before 11 p.m. Saturday.
They say the officers struggled with the 26-year-old driver, who put the car into gear and accelerated. Police say one officer fell while the other kept holding on but fired after the gun was pointed at him.
Police say the vehicle hit a transit police vehicle carrying two officers. The driver fled on foot but was captured.
The suspect was treated for a gunshot wound to the forearm. A firearm believed to be his was recovered in an alley Sunday morning. A transit officer was treated for a head injury.

Comments
Nothing wrong with marijuana. When Lt. Gov. John Fetterman visits Jim Thorpe tomorrow, someone bring this to his attention. Also point out that marijana is a gateway drug... yeah!
Tell him how legalizing marijuana was a gateway for the lunatic General Assembly of Colorado to now consider legalizing the hellucinagen psilocybin (mushrooms man).
This Philly stoner tried to kill some cops.
