A look back: May 1969
The Lehigh Coal and Navigation Building on Susquehanna Street in Jim Thorpe has been used for many things over the years, everything from a dress factory to law offices to the present Mauch Chunk Trust Company.
This year, a new addition has been incorporated into the staunch old building. It is the Carbon County extension of the Tri-County Mental Health and Mental Retardation Program.
Other offices have been established in the respective counties in Stroudsburg (Monroe County) and Milford (Pike County). The headquarters, under the direction of Tom Foley, is in Stroudsburg.
The new local office will be under the direction of William R. Mason of Jim Thorpe.
