Man pets dog, gets cited

A dog owner came to the McAdoo police station on May 2 to report a trespassing incident that occurred the previous day.

The person reported a gray car pulled about two houses down on East Jackson Street. A man, later identified as Samuel Martinez Jr., 39, of McAdoo, got out of the car and approached their residence. The man went on the property, reached over the fence, and started petting a dog. The victim thought the man was going to pick the dog up.

Martinez was cited for defiant trespass.
