Vehicle stop leads to drug charges

A vehicle stop has led to the arrest of the driver on drug charges.

Pocono Mountain Regional police said a vehicle was observed at 1:49 a.m. on May 9 along Route 611 in Mount Pocono traveling at a slow speed. A vehicle stop was made and the driver was identified as Prabhakar Becham, 20, of New York City. While speaking with him officers detected the strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. A consent search discovered marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

As a result the drugs and items were seized and Becham was charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
