Crash reported at Schuylkill intersection

State police at Schuylkill Haven reported investigating a two-vehicle crash at 7:27 a.m. on Wednesday at the intersection of Route 443 and New Philadelphia Road, in West Brunswick Township, Schuylkill County.

Troopers said James J. Stauffer, 57, of Hazle Township, Luzerne County, was southbound New Philadelphia Road, while a 17-year-old female from New Ringgold, was westbound on Route 443. At the intersection Stauffer “drifted” into the intersection in an attempt to make a right turn and struck the teen’s 2008 Ford Fusion with his 2006 Toyota Tacoma pickup. The front of the truck hit the right side of the car.

No one was injured. Troopers cited Stauffer for a stop sign violation.
