CCAL offers watercolor demonstration

The Carbon County Art League will meet at 6:30 p.m. Nov. 9 at the Penn Kidder Senior Center, 995 Route 903, Jim Thorpe.

Paula Zelienka will share her passion for the arts and demonstrate various techniques in watercolor. This will be a great chance to brush up on some of your techniques or to be inspired to begin painting if you never have. Bring your watercolor supplies and paint along as she demonstrates.

Paula works in a variety of mediums and teaches art in Palmerton.

If you feel like you need a challenge, join the league's art challenge of the month. Bring along a piece of your work that you feel best represents "thankfulness" and share it with the group.

If you'd like to join the art league, 2017 memberships are available for $20 for adults and $15 for students. Beginning Jan. 1, adult membership will increase to $25. You can pay online by visiting the CCAL website, by mail or in person.

The public is invited to attend meetings and presentations for free. There is a brief meeting before the presentation with light refreshments to follow.
