Mazzella Enterprises earns renovation loan to expand

One Carbon county construction company plans to extend their services and help more families in the area.
Mazzella Enterprises LLC, located in Jim Thorpe, is a certified small business in the area, which specializes in home remodeling, government construction services and commercial renovation. It has been serving the area since 2002.
The company recently received a loan from the Carbon County Industrial Development Authority in the amount of $75,000. The company was awarded the renovation loan in a check presentation and groundbreaking ceremony on May 17.
The company plans on building a new warehouse which will serve as a storage facility and provide more office space. The money will allow the company to begin this project and hire more employees.
“Seventy-five thousand dollars is an amazing start,” Joe Mazzella, president of Mazzella Enterprises, said. “This will lead to more jobs in Carbon County.”
Mazzella Enterprises has completed numerous projects in the area including the restoration of the Mahoning Drive-In Movie theater and the installation of the Pocono Raceway solar farm. The company also helped build churches and homes in poverty-stricken areas in Guatemala.
“We don’t always take the time to pause and thank the help who brought us here,” said Demetri Patitsas, business manager and COO of Mazzella Enterprises. “We embraced what we are as Mazzella Enterprises.”
Members from the Carbon Chamber and Economic Development, representatives from the offices of Rep. Doyle Heffley and Sen. John Yudichak and Carbon County commissioner Tom Gerhard were in attendance. A reception followed the ceremony.
