JT Area Sports Hall of Fame holding rafting event
Jim Thorpe Area Sports Hall of Fame Rafting event June 24
The Jim Thorpe Sports Hall of Fame is presenting its “Family Style Rafting” on the Lehigh River, which will be held on June 24 with Pocono Whitewater. The rafting trip travels from Jim Thorpe to Bowmanstown. Trips are at 9-9:30 a.m., and 10 a.m. The event will be held rain or shine. Participants must be a least four years of age. The $25 fee includes all rafting equipment and gear, transportation to and from the river, and a BBQ riverside lunch. Proceeds from the event go to the Jim Thorpe Area Sports Hall of Fame, which awards four annual scholarships to graduating seniors at Jim Thorpe Area High School.
