Father’s Day

I accidentally broke a neighbor’s window and ran away.

Dad suspected me and asked me at the incident and I tried what is now common procedure.

Dad: Did you break the window?

Me: There is no evidence for that.

Dad: You’re lying!

Me: No, I misspoke.

Dad: You lied!

Me: I spoke inappropriately.

Dad: You lied!

Me: It was a false narrative.

Dad: You lied, now go to your room.

Me: But dad, I have to go to my job.

Dad: You’re 47, live at home and you have no job — go to your room.

Me: Yes, dad.
