Northern Lehigh School Board personnel

Northern Lehigh School Board approved the following personnel matters last week:

• The administrative transfers of Amanda Bariana from high school/middle school mathematics teacher to middle school mathematics teacher; Lauri McWilliams from Slatington Elementary School fourth grade teacher to Peters Elementary School first grade teacher; Raymond Ross from Peters Elementary School kindergarten teacher to Slatington Elementary School fourth grade teacher; and Sara Shimer from Slatington Elementary School fourth grade teacher to Peters Elementary School kindergarten teacher, all at no change in salary, effective Aug. 20.

• The appointments of temporary professional employees Raquel Hoffert, secondary school counselor, $58,475, effective upon release from current school district; Derrick Reinert, high school/middle school mathematics teacher, $49,750, effective Aug. 20; and Sarah Fink, Slatington Elementary School fourth grade teacher, $49,850, effective Aug. 20.

• The appointments of Cheryl Moser and Patricia Bortz as middle school cook’s helper, $12 an hour, three hours per day, five days per week up to 180 student days per year plus additional cleaning days as needed, effective Aug. 20.

• Eric DeAntonis as secondary detention monitor, and Julie Everett as substitute secondary detention monitor, at the high school for the 2019-2020 school year, with work on an as-needed basis and compensation at a salary of $20 per hour worked.

• Debra Knerr and Jacqueline Schuck as administrative detention supervisors in the middle school. Knerr will cover the Monday detentions from 2:20 to 3:20 p.m. and Schuck will cover the Wednesday detentions from 2:20 to 3:20 p.m. They will work throughout the 2019-2020 school year on Mondays and Wednesdays that warrant detention coverage. Their salary will be $20 per hour worked.

• Rescinded the renewal of appointment of Jennifer Haas as summertime maintenance/custodial helper for the summer of 2019.

• Renewed John Kline as summertime maintenance/custodial helper for the summer of 2019 at a salary of $10 per hour.

• Christian Staskowksi and Ivan Zheng as summertime maintenance/custodial helpers for the summer of 2019 at a salary of $10 per hour.
