Sacred Heart Parish, located at Third and Lafayette streets in Palmerton, will celebrate its annual Eucharistic Adoration and Patron Day with 24 hours of prayer.

Beginning Thursday, the parish will observe its Patronal Feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus with an opening Mass and evening prayer beginning at 6 p.m. with the Rev. David Kozak, pastor of Incarnation Parish in Bethlehem, presiding.

A solemn period of adoration will follow until the closing service at 6:30 p.m. Friday. The Rev. Leo Maletz, Pastor Emeritus of St. Matthew the Evangelist Parish, Minersville will be joined by fellow priests, deacons and seminarians and all in attendance to bring our time of prayer to a close.

Sacred Heart Parish was founded in 1908 and is the largest congregation in the Palmerton area. All are welcome to join us for any part of our 24-hour celebration honoring our Parish Patron, The Sacred Heart.
