Action committee holds election for low-income representatives

The Carbon County Action Committee for Human Services will be holding an election for five low-income representatives to its board of directors at its administrative office located at 267 S. Second St., Lehighton.

Eligible voters may cast a ballot without appointment at any time between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Friday through noon July 17.

To be eligible to vote, a person must have an annual household income at or below 125% of the Federal Poverty Income Guidelines as follows: family size one, $15,613; family size two, $21,138; family size three, $26,663; family size four, $32,188; and for each additional member add $5,838.

Voters will be required to sign and date a self-declaration of voter eligibility before casting a ballot.
