State Police at Lehighton

State police at Lehighton reported on the following incidents investigated by troopers.

• At 1:10 p.m. on June 28 troopers, responded to a reported burglary at a residence along Locust Lane in Penn Forest Township, Carbon County. A 52-year-old woman from Lehighton reported the break-in. Troopers said they found a door kicked in and the home entered, however, nothing was damaged or stolen from inside. The damage to the door was estimated at $200. The incident occurred sometime between June 16 at 6 p.m. and when it was reported.

• An 81-year-old man from Greenway Lane, at Partridge Path, in Kunkletown, Polk Township, reported a black Smith and Wesson 9 mm handgun, bearing serial number TZF9186, was missing from his home. The gun is valued at $300.

• On June 27 a 55-year-old man from Mountain Laurel Drive in Kunkletown, Polk Township, reported someone had used his credit card online. The investigation is continuing.

• On June 18 a 29-year-old woman from Allentown reported her debit card was used at an animal hospital in Carbon County without her permission.

• On Wednesday a 43-year-old woman from Kunkletown, Towamensing Township, reported a possible ID theft after finding that a Verizon account had been opened in her name. The account was flagged and closed by Verizon Fraud Protection unit and the victim suffered no loss of money. The investigation is continuing.
