The Palmerton Towamensing Phillies recently won the 2019 Anthracite 7-8 year-old tournament after finishing the season undefeated. The Phillies defeated Lansford, 8-2, in the championship game in Weatherly. The team was welcomed back in Palmerton to a parade with fire trucks along Delaware Avenue.
