Parryville man jailed after resisting arrest

Thomas Hettler, 38, of Parryville, was committed to the Carbon County Correction Facility, Nesquehoning, on charges of resisting arrest and disorderly conduct after an incident at 5 p.m.Friday in the 200 block of Main Street in Parryville.

State police at the Lehighton barracks said they were summoned to investigate a report of an out-of-control man. Police said Hettler ignored several verbal commands from troopers and was taken into custody after a brief struggle with officers.
