A look back: July 23, 1976
Finalized at Thursday’s meeting of the Carbon County Commissioners was the contract between the Carbon County Area Agency on Aging and St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Summit Hill, relative to the new nutrition project meal site.
Leonard F. Marzen Jr., agency director, said the contract allows the county use of the entire basement of the church property, excluding the boiler room.
The rented area will include the use of the rest room facilities and the complete use of all kitchen facilities, including the stove, sinks, refrigerator and storage cabinets.
The rental fee will be $150 a month, the same as was paid to St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, Summit Hill.
