Police investigate identity theft case
State police at Lehighton barracks are investigating a theft by deception, identity theft incident.
A 59-year-old man who lives on Hidden Spur Road in East Penn Township reported the suspected identity theft after he received a notice in deficiency in his income tax from the Internal Revenue Service.
The theft reportedly occurred between Jan. 1 and April 15, 2015.
