Blight.
More to come from the Legacy of Debt borrowed by the Lehighton Area school district board.

Board members say they care about the kids and community. But ask them if they considered the children when they borrowed millions to have our children paying the highest interest rate on a variable rate bond.

Wayne Wentz are you for the children or your familial relations?
Larry Stern, are you for the children of your family members that work at the district?
Andrew Yenser were you protecting the children when you failed as a treasurer. To not oversee the smooth transition of managers was a disgrace, a $3.8M shortfall disgrace. Please apologize and turn in your resignation.
Rita Spinelli, your downsize comment has us pondering, let the families make a nice home for themselves, of give more money to rubber stampers who blindly trust the people holding our proverbial wallets.
Steve Holland, do you still want to buy lights for under the bleachers for the couple dozen football games, or should we, say, pay off some of the debt from what you already authorized?

I ask, where is their moral soul?

This government five vote in a block to spend educational funds on illegal activities like a SLAPP Resolution. Who will hold them accountable? Who gives them their authority to tax and spend, waste and corruption, abdicating their authority to the very people they were elected to oversee?

I think that if any of these five actually cared about the children, they wouldn't fight special needs benefits and vote on special needs settlement paying both attorneys. To start a fight when defined benefits are absolute and the State offers free dispute resolution. (ODR - Office of Dispute Resolution) is immoral. Keeping attorneys from profiteering on educational funds is a board responsibility.

Please ask your public officials, Larry Stern, Wayne Wentz, Steve Holland, Rita Spinelli, and Andrew Yenser, with they answer you?

Lehighton ASD is the poster child for government corruption. Let's reform it to a moral standard, with lawfult transparency.

Sincerely,

Citizen David F. Bradley Sr.
