Delegate to attend ELCA assembly
The Rev. Nancy Moore of Trinity Lutheran Church in Lehighton stands with Alvin Sellers following the blessing as he prepares to travel to the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America’s Assembly in Milwaukee. Sellers was elected to be one of 23 delegates representing the Northeastern Pennsylvania synod Aug. 5-10. The delegation will be led by Bishop Samuel Zeiser (Jim Thorpe native) where together with people in 65 synods will worship, receive reports, adopt a budget, and elect a churchwide secretary and bishop. There will be a link on the elca.org home page during worship and plenary (meeting) sessions to follow along during these dates. Milwaukee is in the Central Time Zone, one hour behind Pennsylvania.
