One injured in Tamaqua rollover

One person was seriously injured early Sunday morning  in a crash in Tamaqua.

The crash occurred at 12:30 a.m. as a driver was traveling north on Route 309  near the intersection with Tuscarora Park Road.

The driver lost control rolling the unit onto its roof along the north berm. The victim was freed from the wreckage by members of the Tamaqua Rescue Squad, American Hose and East End fire companies. 

Tamaqua and Hometown fire police maintained traffic control at the scene. Tamaqua police are investigating the incident.
