Woman charged with stealing mower

Coaldale police cited Brenda Hosler, 50, of 62 W. Miner St., Coaldale, in connection with the theft of a riding lawn mower from Erbe's Tire and Auto Service, West Water Street.

Hosler and a juvenile took the black and silver Craftsman riding mower from the property during the overnight hours of July 14 into 15. The theft was recorded on video surveillance cameras.

Hosler told police she had permission from the owner to take the mower, but the owner told police he didn't provide such permission.

She was charged with theft by unlawful taking, receiving stolen property and criminal defiant trespass.
