Schuylkill Indivisible hosts free health care coverage film

Schuylkill Indivisible is hosting a free film screening and discussion about health care coverage.

“Fix It: Healthcare at the Tipping Point” will be shown at 2 p.m. Aug. 11, at the Majestic Theater, 209 N. Centre St., Pottsville. While the film advocates single-payer health insurance, producer Richard Master is hardly a wild-eyed socialist. Alarmed at the huge cost of providing coverage at his company, the Lehigh Valley manufacturer decided to look for a solution.

Director Vincent Mondillo, who co-wrote and co-produced the one-hour film, will answer questions and address concerns. A variety of officials have been invited, including U.S. senators, a congressman, our state senator and all three representatives, county commissioners, the Schuylkill Chamber of Commerce and the county Democratic and Republican committees.
