Woman is uninjured when car hits deer

Melissa A. Evans of Lehighton escaped injuries in a one-vehicle crash at 4:29 p.m. Oct. 26 on Route 903 in Penn Forest Township.

Police said she was southbound when a deer ran across the northbound lane and fell into the southbound lane, where the vehicle struck it.

The car sustained moderate damages and was towed from the scene.
