Police are seeking driver of vehicle

State police at the Lehighton barracks are seeking the driver of a vehicle that crashed at 5:47 a.m. Oct. 26 on Lower Smith Gap Road, near Schaffer Road, in Eldred Township.

Police said the blue GMC ZL1 pickup truck was traveling east on Lower Smith Gap Road when the operator lost control of it. The vehicle struck a tree head-on on the right side of the road, after which time the driver fled the scene.
