Free car seat checks to be held Sept. 21

State police at the Fern Ridge barracks will be conducting free child car seat safety checks from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sept. 21 at the barracks, located at 127 Parkside Ave. in Blakeslee.

Troopers noted, according to the Safe Kids WorldWide group, “73 percent of child car seats are not used correctly.”
