Schuylkill fall cleanup planned
Schuylkill County’s Fall Cleanup and Recycling Event will take place in September.
In the Times News coverage area, the drop-off points will be Tamaqua Transfer Station, Tamaqua and Community Fire Company, New Ringgold.
The dates for Tamaqua are Sept. 17 through Sept. 20, from 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and Sept. 21 from 7 to 10 a.m. For New Ringgold, the event will be one day, Sept. 21, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
No electronics will be collected. Automobile, light truck and motorcycle tires will be accepted for $2 (without rims) and $3 with rims, with a limit of 10 tires per load and 2 loads per customer.
Freon appliances such as air conditioners and refrigerators will be accepted for $10 each.
Other appliances such as washers, dryers and water heaters will be accepted at no charge.
Bulky items, such as mattresses and box springs, rolls of carpet, doors and windows, will be accepted at $10 each.
