Smelas earns doctorate in physical therapy

Chelsea Smelas, a 2012 graduate from Jim Thorpe Area High School, earned her doctorate in physical therapy from DeSales University on Aug. 9.

In addition to earning her doctorate, Chelsea previously earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Wilkes University in 2016. Chelsea is the daughter of Wendy and Dan Smelas of Jim Thorpe.
