Tamaqua District Court

The following cases were handled by District Judge Steven Bayer:

Dominic Chickilly, 28, of Summit Hill, had charges of possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia bound over for court, stemming from an Aug. 22, 2018, incident. Charges were filed by a Tuscarora State Park officer. He was released on $10,000 unsecured bail.

Defendants who opted to waive their hearings included:

Allen Charles Schrader III, 25, of Pottsville, was charged with retail theft and receiving stolen property. Charges stem from a July 15 incident and were filed by Rush Township police. He was unable to post bail and is housed in Schuylkill County prison, $10,000 percentage bail. Schrader was charged again with retail theft and receiving stolen property by Rush police, stemming from a July 19 incident.

Joseph Jacob Cappella, 28, of Andreas, was charged with criminal trespassing, loitering and prowling at night and criminal mischief stemming from a June 29 incident. Charges were filed by Tamaqua police. Cappella was released on $10,000 unsecured bail.

William Williams, 61, of Lehighton, was charged with possession, driving with a suspended license and driving an unregistered vehicle. Charges stem from a May 18 incident and were filed by Tamaqua police. He was released on his own recognizance.

Thomas J. Danishefsky, 80, of McAdoo, was charged with attempting to lure a child into a motor vehicle after a July 14 incident. Charges were filed by McAdoo police. Bail was set at $50,000 percentage; unable to post, Danishefsky was sent to Schuylkill County prison.

Cassie L. Eroh, 27, of Barnesville, was charged with possession with intent to manufacture or deliver, possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia by Tamaqua police, stemming from a June 8 incident. She was released from Schuylkill County prison on $20,000 unsecured bail.

Joseph Patrick Puglio, 27, of Hazle Township, was charged with driving under the influence, possession of drug paraphernalia and operating with unsafe equipment due to a June 6 incident. Charges were filed by McAdoo police, and he was released on his own recognizance.

Debra Vargas, 26, of Tamaqua, was charged with intimidating a witness/victim due to a July 6 incident. Charges were filed by Tamaqua police, and she was released on her own recognizance.

Julio Adelsi Taveras, 27, was charged with attempting to elude an officer, driving an unregistered vehicle, and driving with a suspended license, among other charges. Charges stem from an April 29 incident and were filed by McAdoo police. He was released on his own recognizance.

James Joseph Englert, 43, of was charged with defiant trespassing due to a July 7 incident. Charges were filed by state police at Frackville. Englert was released on his own recognizance.
