Texas Chili Dog plans grand opening

There’s a new place to get a bite to eat in Tamaqua.
Right smack at the Five Points in Tamaqua, you can find the new Texas Chili Dog, which will have its grand opening on Sept. 15.
The menu has friendly prices and a variety of items, ranging from cheeseburgers and chicken fingers, to the signature dish, the Texas chili dog, which is a mouthwatering combination of chili, cheese, jalapeños, mustard, onions and yellow peppers.
“We updated the menu right,” said manager Larissa Young. “We have deep-fried Oreos and walking tacos soon.”
The grand opening will be all day from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. There will be free face painting for kids and other giveaways.
The venue also features a handful of classic arcade games, and a pickup window right on Mauch Chunk Street for a quick transaction.
The Texas Chili Dog is located at 16 Mauch Chunk St., Tamaqua.
