Palmerton’s golf team finished regular-season action undefeated after topping both Northwestern and Bangor on Monday.

Elsewhere, Tamaqua and Palmerton received big scoring games from Emma Kuczynski and Carissa Fallon to post girls soccer victories.

GOLF

NW-Bangor-Palmerton

Palmerton finished the Colonial League regular season undefeated with a sweep of Bangor and Northwestern.

The Blue Bombers carded wins over the Slaters (399-458) and Tigers (399-473) to end the regular season a perfect 16-0 overall and 13-0 in the league.

Palmerton’s Logan Kresge captured medalist honors with a score of 78, while Tyler Hager (79), Connor Reinhard (80), Derek Rea (80) and Matt Lalik (82) also posted low scores.

Luke Hallman paced Northwestern with an 82.

The win lifted Weatherly’s record to 6-6 overall.

Salisbury-Pleasant Valley

Pleasant Valley came away with a 1-0 non-conference victory over Salisbury.

The Bears’ Rylee Robinson scored an unassisted goal in the first half to account for the game’s only tally.

PV keeper Samantha Merklin had three saves in the shutout win.

The Bears improved to 6-1-2 overall, while the Falcons dropped to 6-3.

Notre Dame ES-Palmerton

Carissa Fallon’s four goals highlighted Palmerton’s 7-1 victory over Notre Dame of East Stroudsburg.

Gianna Kintz contributed two goals for the Blue Bombers (3-4 overall), while Lauren Rehrig accounted for the team’s other tally.

Aliya Deforte and Emma Martinez both had assists for the winners.

Jim Thorpe-Pine Grove

A Schuylkill League Division I battle between Jim Thorpe and Pine Grove ended up in a 1-1 tie after two overtime periods.

Mel Love posted the Cardinals’ only goal in the first half.

The Olympians’ Nicole Carroll tied the contest with a second-half goal off an assist from Lauren Lekites.

Kate Bos grabbed four saves for Thorpe, while Pine Grove keeper McKenna Levan finished with 11 stops.

Nativity-Tamaqua

Emma Kuczynski’s hat trick sparked Tamaqua to a 3-1 victory over Nativity.

Kuczynski recorded two goals in the first half for the Blue Raiders (5-2; 3-1), and then added her third in the second half. Teammates Logan Hartney and Katie Rudy were credited with assists.

Tamaqua’s Baylee Reinhardt finished with five saves, while the Golden Girls received 23 saves from keeper Tori Hunyara.

Lehighton-Pottsville

Pottsville scored four goals in each half to register an 8-0 Schuylkill League victory over Lehighton.

The Tide received two scores from Maddy Lenker, Lexi Maccarone and Ava Goodman, while Goodman also added three assists.

The loss dropped the Indians record to 3-5 overall and 1-4 in the league.

Tri-Valley-Weatherly

Tri-Valley’s Autumn Connell scored two goals to help the Bulldogs gain a 3-1 Schuylkill League victory over Weatherly.

The Wreckers (0-6; 0-4) received an unassisted goal from Lexi Berger, while keeper Kelly Royer finished with 26 saves.

BOYS SOCCER

Pleasant Valley-Dieruff

Pleasant Valley posted a 4-1 Eastern Pennsylvania Conference victory over Dieruff.

FIELD HOCKEY

Northern Lehigh-Pen Argyl

Maddison Cunifer’s first-half goal was all Northern Lehigh needed to score a 1-0 Colonial League victory over Pen Argyl.

The Bulldogs (3-5) held a 14-5 edge in shots over the Green Knights.

Nolehi’s keeper, Kendall Heiney, finished with four saves.

Northwestern-Bangor

Three first-half goals powered Bangor to a 3-1 Colonial League victory over Northwestern.

Reagan Hernandez recorded the only goal for the Tigers, with Brynn Balliet providing the assist.

Kaylee Holland sparked the Slaters with two goals.

Northwestern (4-2-1) received 11 saves from keeper Maxine Hoffman.

Northampton-Lehighton

Northampton edged Lehighton by a 3-2 score.

The loss dropped the Indians to 4-4.

Blue Mountain posted a 4-1 victory over Jim Thorpe.

Alivia Karchner led the Fillies (3-2; 2-2) with six kills, three aces and three digs, while Ashlyn Klitch added 23 assists and four digs.

Teammate Macie Mazalusky chipped in with four aces and five digs.

Hailey Miller paced the Indians (4-4; 1-3) with 16 digs and one ace, while Alyssa Frey recorded 10 assists, two digs and one ace. With her 10 assists, Frey — a sophomore — reached 500 career assists.

Panther Valley-Palmerton

Panther Valley rolled to a 25-10, 25-5, 25-7 non-conference victory over Palmerton.

Olivia Dacey led the Panthers (6-0) with six kills, four aces and one block, while Gianna Steber chipped in with 10 assists.

Erika Dubosky (seven kills, three blocks) and Sadie Tribilla (six aces, one kill) added to the PV effort.

Jim Thorpe-Pine Grove

Pine Grove swept Jim Thorpe in Schuylkill League action, 25-19, 25-23, 25-22.

Abigail McGinley led the Olympians (4-2; 2-2) with 26 digs, while Brandy Montemuro recorded six assists and six kills.

Katie DeMarco (seven digs), Grace Baldassano (10 assists) and Autumn Snyder (eight kills) also contributed to the Jim Thorpe effort.

Pleasant Valley-Nazareth

Nazareth swept past Pleasant Valley in an Eastern Pennsylvania Conference match, 25-20, 25-17, 25-15.

Cameron Caffrey paced the Bears’ attack with nine digs, nine assists, three kills and three aces, while Andrea Crilley contributed nine digs, three kills and one ace.

PV also received solid efforts from Sara Frankunas (five kills, three digs, two blocks), Ariana Thourot (six assists, two digs) and Deskyn Beade (eight digs).

Tamaqua-Pottsville

Tamaqua dropped a 25-2, 25-7, 25-14 Schuylkill League decision to Pottsville.

The Tide received three kills, six assists and four aces from Lexi Vandermartin.

The loss dropped the Blue Raiders’ record to 1-5 overall and 0-4 in the league.

Northwestern-Blue Mtn.

Blue Mountain swept Northwestern in a non-league meeting, 25-11, 25-14, 25-13.

The Eagles were led by Grace Woll, who had five kills and nine digs.

Weatherly-Tri-Valley

Tri-Valley cruised to a 25-13, 25-12, 25-14 Schuylkill League victory over Weatherly.

The winners received five kills and seven aces from Myah Wehry.

The Wreckers (0-7; 0-6) gained three kills, two digs and a pair of blocks from Isabella Maiello.

JR. HIGH BASKETBALL

Weatherly-Shenandoah Vy.

Weatherly pulled out a 36-31 victory over Shenandoah Valley.

Bethany Houser finished with 18 points for the Wreckers, while Brianna Pugh added 16.
