Alzheimer’s walk Sept. 21

The Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s will take place on Saturday at Mauch Chunk Lake Park in Jim Thorpe.

Registration for the event begins at 9 a.m. and the walk starts at 10:30 a.m.

Participants will also honor those affected by Alzheimer’s disease with Promise Flowers during the Promise Garden Ceremony at 10 a.m.

More than 5 million Americans are living with Alzheimer’s disease — the sixth-leading cause of death in the United States.

Participants can join a team, register to walk as an individual or donate to the cause at alz.org/walk.
