Paint the Town red event to benefit PVEN
Keller Williams Real Estate in Sciota will host a Paint the Town Red Open House/Charity event this weekend to benefit the Monroe County residents.
Open houses will be held at several homes throughout the Monroe County area and each working with a different charity. Each home will have a list of other homes in the area that will be open as well.
On Saturday Laura Jecker, residential specialist with Keller Williams, with and her open house partner Trisha Tressitore will hold an open house at 410 Norton Road, located in Norton Farms in Stroudsburg from noon-3 p.m.
On Sunday, an open house at 603 Country Acres Court, located in Country Glen Townhouses in Effort from noon-3 p.m.
The charity for both of these homes is Pleasant Valley Ecumenical Network in Brodheadsville.
“The poverty level in the Pleasant Valley community is at 44%,” Jecker said. “Our community needs your help and collecting needed items helps so many. PVEN provides food, clothing and community service information to more than 200 families in the West End.
“We will be asking open house attendees to drop off gently used coats, snow boots, cans of tuna, boxes or Mac ’n’ Cheese.”
All items collected will be delivered to PVEN in Brodheadsville for their clients on distribution days.
