Carbon County court – ARD
Two first-time offenders in the criminal justice system were placed in Carbon County’s Accelerated Rehabilitation Disposition probation program on Monday by President Judge Roger N. Nanovic II.
If a person successfully completes all conditions of the program, their record is wiped clean. However, if they fail to complete it, or are revoked from it, then they would face trial on all pending charges. A person does not admit guilt in entering the program.
Both were placed for six months on charges of possession of a small amount of marijuana.
Placed were:
Nicholas John Skrincosky, 20, of Lehighton, was arrested on May 23 by state police at Lehighton along Summer Mountain Road in East Penn Township following a traffic stop.
Vincent Americus Bosco, 18, of Lansford, was arrested on May 24 by state police at Lehighton along Route 903 in Penn Forest Township following a vehicle stop.
Both were ordered to pay $450 for the cost of the program, get a drug and alcohol evaluation and follow any recommendation for treatment, pay court costs of about $1,000 and pay a $50 per month supervision fee while in the program.
