Walnutport Borough Council
Walnutport Borough Council recently approved the following:
• Agreed to remove the internet from the borough garage.
• Employees will not be allowed to take vehicles home or use them for personal use; therefore, there will not be any use of borough vehicles when borough employees are not on the clock.
• $3,855 to EM Kutz to purchase a new salt spreader for the back of one of the borough trucks; $3,559 from Dirt Works to blacktop an intersection where a pipe collapsed at Lehigh Gap/Carbon Street; and $2,120 for tar for crack sealing.
• Rejected bids for the next phase of the Lincoln Avenue project. A larger project will be bid for next year.
• Hired Earl Snyder on a part-time, as-needed basis to cut grass and plow snow, at the rate of $15 an hour.
• Resolution designating the borough garage being for employees only, or for contractors/vendors doing business with the borough.
• Approved Act 172 reimbursements to Ricky Smith ($250); Osville Paules ($206); and David Stankovic ($228).
• On a 5-0 vote, with one abstention, approved Act 172 reimbursement for Bryce Greene ($250). Councilman Harold Greene abstained from the vote.
